GSEP Alumna Named Associate Dean for College of Grand Canyon

LudlowCarlyn Ludlow, Ed.D, alumna of the Education Leadership Administration and Policy (ELAP) at the Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP), has been selected to serve as Associate Dean for College of Grand Canyon (GCU) in Arizona. She joins GCU from Arizona State University where she operated as the Director of the Center for Civics Education and also served as assistant clinical professor of education.

Ludlow’s extensive experience in education (including 16 years of instructional experience) will prove to be valuable to GCU.  She has served as a classroom teacher, curriculum designer, university faculty member, program chair, and the owner of a consultancy for schools, businesses, and government agencies that need assistance with curriculum development, training, and research.  She has been recognized by districts, state agencies, and private corporations for her research and expositions in educational policy, curriculum and assessment, as well as teacher quality and education.

In her new position, Ludlow is building relationships with local superintendents to establish partnerships in which GCU would provide a number of services for the districts, including professional development and curriculum audits.
