Alumnus Dennis Palumbo Releases Second Novel

Fever DreamA Hollywood screenwriter turned psychotherapist, Dennis Palumbo earned high praise from critics and contemporaries alike for his debut novel, Mirror Image.  His second novel Fever Dream was released in November to rave reviews.

Publishers Weekly wrote, “[Palumbo] keeps the pages turning,” and New York Times best-selling crime writer Ridley Pearson stated, “Dennis Palumbo knows his craft. This guy can write.”  Three-time Edgar ® Award winner T. Jefferson Parker added, ““Maybe it’s Palumbo’s dual training—as a writer and as a psychotherapist—that allows him to plumb the depths and bring up not only darkness but those occasional diamonds of light that sparkle and illuminate and make a book worth reading.” Palumbo’s latest novel, Fever Dream, is an electrifying, non-stop thrill ride featuring psychologist Daniel Rinaldi, a trauma expert who consults with the Pittsburgh Police.

According to John Lescroart, New York Times best-selling author of Damage, “Intricate plotting and mind-boggling twists make Dennis Palumbo's Fever Dream a memorable mystery.  The character of psychologist and trauma expert Daniel Rinaldi gives great heart to this story and elevates it to novelistic heights."

Formerly a Hollywood screenwriter, Dennis Palumbo is now a licensed psychotherapist in private practice. He is the author of a mystery collection, From Crime to Crime. His short fiction has appeared in Ellery Queen’s Mystery magazine, The Strand, and elsewhere. Dennis Palumbo is also the author of Mirror Image.
