Faculty Member Secures Grant to Expand Counseling Services

Dr. Duncan Wigg; clinical faculty in the Psychology Division, director of the GSEP Irvine Community Counseling Center, and program director of the marriage and family therapy program; has received a $20,000 grant from the George Hoag Family Foundation to allow for increase supervision of students providing mental health counseling services at the Village of Hope.

On May 22, the Psychology Division celebrated graduation. Elyn Saks, an Orrin B. Evans professor of law, psychology, psychiatry, and the behavioral sciences at University of Southern, spoke on achieving success while battling schizophrenia. On June 19, the Education Division heard from three-time Emmy Award winner, best-selling author, and former Harvard University instructor Michael Guillen, who provided thoughts on leadership and transition.
