A Guy Called Dad: A Daughter’s Journey
takes a unique, intimate look at mental illness and how it affects one daughter’s relationship with her father. With the sensitivity and humor that only a family member can lend, producer and director Kacey Arnold guides us through the reality of having a relative with mental illness. In the process, she gives us a peek into a world that most are not allowed to see.

A Guy Called DadKacey shares her journey as she struggles to deal with her father's illness and the rollercoaster of emotions that comes with it. She reveals the challenges faced by individuals with mental illness as well as the family and friends who support them.

The film addresses questions like: How does a brilliant man get lost between the cracks? How do you repair a relationship damaged by an illness that may never improve? How do you work through the resulting denial and guilt? What kind of resources are out there for you and your relative with mental illness?

Copies of the film will be available at a discounted rate following the event.
