Program Costs
Tuition charges each academic year, plus the living expense budget constitute a student's "cost of attendance." Total financial aid awarded may not exceed a student's "cost of attendance."
2008-2009 Tuition Charges Per Unit
(2008-2009 Academic Year, Fall 2008 through Summer 2009)
- $890 - Education master's programs, except M.A. in Educational Technology which is $3,350 for the first term (Summer 2008) and $7,715 for each of the following three terms (Fall 2007, Spring 2008, Summer 2008)
- $890 - Psychology master's programs at Encino, Irvine, and West Los Angeles Graduate Campuses
- $1,115 - Psychology master's program at Drescher (Malibu) campus (daytime format)
- $1,115 - Psychology doctoral program
- $1,115 - Education doctoral programs, except Ed.D. in Organization Change, which is $10,990 per term.
Cost of Attendance: (2008-2009)
The Cost of Attendance includes tuition and fee costs and an estimated budget for living expenses, books and supply costs, and transportation. The Cost of Attendance is set for all students each year and actual costs may vary, depending on a student's lifestyle.
A student's total financial aid awards cannot exceed a student's total budget or Cost of Attendance. For example, a student with tuition and fees of $10,000 and a living expense budget of $24,255, will have a total Cost of Attendance of $34,255. In this example, the student's total financial aid awards, including Stafford Loans, and other financial aid (such as grants), cannot exceed the total $34,255.
