Beginning Fall 2004, Master's only students (not seeking preliminary
teaching credential) will follow a cohort model with program enrollment in Fall
term only. Each term, students will be required to attend some Saturday class
sessions at the West Los Angeles Graduate Campus. The program can be completed
in one year or can also be extended up to two years.
The Master of Arts in Education is available with two emphases. The
Emphasis One focuses on developing the highest level of skills
as professional educators by using reflection to impact teaching and learning
in the classroom. The Psychology Emphasis enables students to
pursue a more clinical study of development and issues affecting school
children and their families.
All new students in the Master of Arts in Education program are required to
attend Technology Orientation Camp as part of the new student orientation at
each campus.
